Glenelg and Arnisdale
The scenic Glenelg peninsula is accessed by a long single track road which zig-zags its way over the Bealach Ratagain, passing through the village of Glenelg and finally coming to an end at the tiny hamlets of Arnisdale and Corran beside Loch Hourn - one of Britain's longest cul-de-sac roads ! Glenelg may also be reached from the Isle of Skye by the Kylerhea ferry - the UK's only manually operated turntable ferry. Apart from these routes, the only other way in to the peninsula is by sea or a long walk over the hills !
